@shac, one more thing, Nolan's brother was supposed to direct the new Superman, but WB execs instead pushed Snyder into place as his last chance at the WB. They stripped Snyder of his usual film crew, and put him under the Nolan's supervision (which is demeaning for any director that supposedly isn't a 'hack').

Actually, I seem to recall that Synder was chosen by Nolan himself.

Monkeyfoot: Jim Lee's Zod was simply the briefly canonical Zod post-Birthright, pre-Infinite Crisis (and his subsequent reintroduction in Last Son). This Zod was exiled to the Phantom Zone alone, and when Superman started constructing Metropia in the Phantom Zone as a refuge for humanity should some calamity destroy earth, Zod decided to take over himself.

For a second there I thought Michael Shannon (Zod) was talking about the Stuperman costume (no, not a type-o). That Supes costume looks Hideous (with the capital H)!!! Dare I ask if any of those muscles are really his? I know 1 muscle that isn't!

This movie is going to bomb worse than the last one, comic fans...and will send DC and WB back to the drawing boards.

The only worse thing coming with this movie is the inevitable 3D... What a waste.

Where is a pic of Christopher Reeve doing a facepalm when you need one?

I almost feel sorry for DC and WB... almost.

Thanks Shac & SmokingFrog for the Zod info!

I wonder if this version of Zod is going to be some sort of huge, genetically altered super-Kryptonian? Just speculation but it seems like the stick above his head is being used to give the other actors a focal point, like that's where his head/face will be after the CGI magic happens. Cavill and the others would need a sort of "mark" to look at when they speak to Zod. It makes sense if you think about it.

Hey Moss, guess what? I have my big boy pants (great quote, great movie) and WE posted that above photo of Faora (Antje Traue) and a motion-capture actor from the smallville set last month as well. That photo was from our archives from last month. I hit the "select" button from our archive. I didn't hit the "upload" option.

So you just missed our original story last month at the same time as SuperHeroHype. And those photos were from JustJared and another photo imaging site in which we all took from...I'm not denying that SHH beat me by a few hours..They have more resources than I do. But to accuse me of being a month late is a bit too much for me to handle..Thankfully, another veteran defended my honor here. :)

And thank you Lusipher for having my back here..

@ Jarrod......    If you had posted those pictures a month ago then I missed them. (My mistake/my overlook.) However, it is a very rare occasion for me to miss something that big. I check this site and a couple more multiply times a week.  It is best not to mention those other sites for fear of somebody having an irregular period.

Yesterday, I was sitting with my wife at a Jack in the Box and we were discussing how much we like Mos Burger.  We were not saying Jack in the Box sucked.  ( If it did, we would not have been eating there.)  Just commenting on a fondness of something similar.

btw... You talk of a vetern to this site.  I have been coming here for years.  As I stated before, I still label my shortcut Comics2Film.   I just never felt the need to post my two cents until recently. (New health, no job, more free time.)

This is going to suck.  Very much a lot.

Totally understand where you're coming from, Moss. And I hope you continue coming here as well, bud. I just drew the line where you implied that another website posted a photo a "month" after we did. I read your first comment and went like "wtf?!?" As I said above, I know I can't compete on some stuff due to resources but neither Rob nor myself would ever be that late...

And I already knew you were a vet Moss. I've seen your feedback for years. I said "another veteran" in my initial response above, after all. :)

Jim Lee's design of Zod is pretty cool now that I saw it, but (and I expect some hate on this one, so lay it on me if you must), but I always thought Jim Lee's art in general is only a little better than Rob Liefeld's.  Sorry, just my opinion.

DaForce - this is admittedly argumentative, but while you're willing to accept dead people walking around and eating people until they in turn become the walking dead...you're caught up on rigor mortis?  Personally, fast moving zombies terrify the bejeezus out of me a lot more than mobs of slow moving zombies.  I'm not a huge fan of Snyders (about 50/50), but I honestly wouldn't call him a hack.
