Vampires piss me off with all their stupid made-up powers and vulnerabilities. A zombie is such a nice, primal image - the walking dead.
But - 9 times out of 10, I'd rather have sex with a Vampire than a Zombie. So, for me, Vampires win.

Wait, if a zombie bites a vampire, does the vamp turn into a zombie?
What happens when a zombie bites a Vampire or vica versa?
The movie trailer below might sort of answer that. It's for the yet-to-be-released independent horror/comedy film The Revenant. It's supposed to be really good.

There's actually a webcomic on this subject:

Fast zombies or slow, I have to give it to the vampires. Presuming that they're invulnerable to zombie bites (I have a big problem with the whole "getting bitten by a zombie, turn into a zombie" thing, but that's a different issue), zombies can't really hurt vampires, unless there's enough of them to rip the vampire to bits (and I'm thinking that if a vampire can turn to mist, that ain't going to happen). Zombies have numbers, but numbers don't really give an advantage if the enemy can't be eliminated.
Vampires, meanwhile, can reduce those numbers, having the raw strength to destroy a zombie with their bare hands, not to mention various supernatural powers, the capacity to use weapons, and the intelligence to create effective battle plans. And vampires will have what humans remain as allies -- lose a pint of blood every so often (possibly to someone who looks like Kate Beckinsale) or be turned into a shambling corpse? I know what side I'm going to be on.
In the early going, zombies will have the initiative, but in the long run, vampires come out on top.
Thanks for the link monkeyfoot. Wasn't that blond dude in some pizza commercials a few years back?
This has got to be one of the dumbest articles Mania has ever posted, and that is saying ALOT!
....Vampires win, easy.
Ah, but it's a fun dumb article.
Whith a top 10 list everyday they are starting to run out of material.
Vampires are going to win. Unless the leprachauns decide to side with the zombies...
I saw that Chopsaki! Queensbury rules, so put 'em up!
I remember checking up on the notions of zombies once...apparently, in voodoo, it was stated the notion of becoming a zombie emanated from the fear of continued slavery after death...
the notion was a man with magical powers would resurrect the recently deceased and that there would be no freedom for those sold into slavery, both in life and death
at least that's the theory that seemed to make most sense
yeah, I'm spoiling your fun......big whoop
Of course this is a silly article, but that's what makes it so much fun.
Mania staff, like the Spike TV show Deadliest Warrior you ought to do some more articles pitting some genre fighters against each other. Star Trek Klingon vs. Stargate Jaffa. Wookie vs. Orc. More silly fun:)
One thing to consider, the books, comics, movies etc. a lot of characters choose to become Vampires or once they turn into one rarely complain about it unless they are just whiney about it. On the flipside however No One and I repeat No One honestly wants to be a zombie. Plus Vampires do not necessarily have to kill their victims, just feed on them.
So basically it boils down to public support, few complain about living forever as they are now, and probably getting laid a lot, plenty of people however would complain about being eaten alive and walking around as a mindless rotting corpse forever.
End conclusion, Vampires have immense public support when compared to zombies.
