Zucker's SUPERHERO Spoof Grabs a Cast

The same team behind SCARY MOVIE 4 (Dimension Films, producer David Zucker & director Craig Mazin) has picked their cast for an upcoming spoof on the world of Superhero films titled simply SUPERHERO, says Variety. Leslie Nielsen, Brent Spiner, Christopher McDonald, Sara Paxton, Drake Bell, Kevin Hart, Marion Ross, Ryan Hansen & Jeffrey Tambor are preparing to poke as much fun as they can at the history of films relating to this genre. David Zucker and Robert K. Weiss will be producing while Craig Mazin is returning to the director's chair. Production began on Monday...

SUPERHERO hits theaters everywhere March 28, 2008.

According to Mazin himself, production started this past Monday (the 17th). So, they may have moved up the date.

Wouldn't be surprising to see Variety has made another mistake...They've made a few this past week which is odd for them.

True, Merin, but I wouldn't be shocked if she ends up having a small cameo in the film in the same way as Shaq appeared in their last film... It's the same team behind Scary Movie 3 and 4.

This movie could be really funny or it could be an hour and a half of nothing but toliet humor and locker room jokes. I tried to sit through Scary Movie 4 and was disgusted by how dirty it was and fact that it was rated PG-13. The MPAA is really slipping in what they will allow at that rating. Anyways I hope this movie is funny and actually has some thought behind it.

How can anyone get down on toilet humor? Nothing makes me laugh harder then a good fart joke. That isn't to say I don't love good cerebral comedy like Arrested Development, but FART = FUNNY.....I have a lot more faith in this movie then I did of Epic Movie,,,,,that movie was doomed from the start being that it was the same guys that did Date Movie. I hope they go more Airplane- Top Secret- Hot Shots style,,,,,those movies are funny as hell.

ANNA FARIS IS HOTTT!!!!!! She was the only reason to see the scary movies, in my opinion. She is funny as hell to. Loved her in "Just Friends". Don't know if I'll be seeing this one if she is not in it. So sad.

As I find her in more and more movies, and really like her in every one, I find myself looking for movies with her in them. If this superhero spoof grabs her, I'm there.

Whether it was Scary Movie or May or Lost In Translation or Just Friends, she's always good. She even makes things like Hot Chick watchable.

Zucker can be hit or miss - here's hoping its more Airplane than Scary Movie 4.
