According to a rumor posted by Rich Johnston in his Lying in the Gutters column at Comic Book Resources, DC Comics have met with executives at Cartoon Network about flipping several of their Zuda-based web strips into animated programming of some kind.
Johnston's sources tell him that Robert and Peter Timony 'The Night Owls' is at the top of the list for treatment, with a pilot said to be going into production this year and a possible series in 2010. Robert Timony was asked for comment and only said "I can neither confirm nor deny this rumor."
According to the report, Other Zuda strips being looked at are 'Bayou', 'High Moon,' 'Black Cherry Bombshells' and 'Supertron'.
Johnston has also heard that some creator owned Vertigo and Wildstorm comics are now going to roll out on Zuda before they see print.
